We drove around Uist most of the day today visiting one or two crofters, all doing a great job. Way too much driving for me without opportunities to walk a bit.

At 3pm we set off on the long journey home. First we were delayed for an hour in port while they unloaded this large crane which was off to put up wind turbines. The rest of the journey went well and I arrived home at 12.30pm. It's such a long long to go not very far when I need to sail from Uig in Skye. Bring back the Oban ferry connection I say.
