DaveH left for the island at sparrowfart and then DaveE arrived at Waverley from Orkney via Aberdeen around midday. We stopped off at the Vaults for a bit of lunch and for him to buy a bottle of the good stuff.

Spent the rest of the day alternately reading, blethering, looking at photos/recipes, etc etc. The faisenjan I made was so filling that we couldn't even manage any summer pudding! Showed DE an episode of Good Omens which he has resolved to find for CC back in Brussels as he's a big Pratchett fan.
