Foggy Peak

This is the southern end of the Torlesse Range. Foggy Peak overlooks Porters Pass, and it’s on the lower slopes I like to photograph subalpine plants and animals. The hills in front are part of the Russell Range. The main road passes between the the two ranges from Springfield to the Pass. I took this photo from my back step.

It was a good day for cutting wood, but as I overdid things in the greenhouse this morning my son had to cut and stack. He did an excellent job restacking old logs to make room for the newly cut wood before cutting about a week’s worth.
