Wisteria

Ellen bought this wisteria about six years ago.  Given our northern location and height, I did not expect it to last.  I planted it in a sheltered spot and gave it a little encouragement.  Not much since I didn't expect it to survive.  But it was gift.   It kept coming back every year and I kept tying its spindly branches to some wire.  It has never looked wonderfully happy but it has hung around.
And this year it flowered for the first time.  Patience is a wonderful thing.
