AN ANGEL'S FEATHER

Today at 5:30 my MIL (mother in law) sadly passed away.
It has been a difficult few days.....on Christmas Eve a place became available at the local hospice, it was what The Rev had really wanted for her. It was a stressful move but is a calm peaceful place and the staff are so kind. She had her own room and were able to take in her Christmas cards and some decorations. We had a really disrupted meal on Christmas Day with the chef having to put things on hold several times (well done O).
She was peaceful most of the day and said a few words to the boys on the phone and opened a few presents.
Sadly she deteriorated within 20 mins this morning and we were not able to get there in time, but I believe that was her wish.
Telling our boys was one of the hardest things we've had to do but I am so proud of them, our K and the way The Rev continued to do his sermon at Midnight Mass.
