To the victor, the spoils

This is John.
John is a Gooner.
 
Gooner is a term, derived from their nickname, The Gunners, to describe a fan of a North London Premier League football team whose real name I cannot bear to write.
 
John (a Gooner) and I, have a traditional year-long wager (described elsewhere in the annals of Blipfoto) on which team, his or the mighty Tottenham Hotspur Football club is the best.
 
Of course we all know that Spurs are the best but in our very complex way of scoring during the season, the Gooner triumphed this time.
 
His prize is a rich, iced fruitcake chosen and paid for by me.
 
Here he is, bearing his prize triumphantly and smirking smugly.
