Singing for his Supper
The Pine Siskins have arrived in my back yard; they tend to hang out with the Goldfinches. This was sitting in the Poplar tree waiting for space to open at the feeder. We used to get lots of these birds but a disease wiped out quite a few of them a couple years ago.
Last night was our granddaughters graduation; it was a very nice ceremony; thankfully there were only about 300 graduates so it wasn't painful waiting for all of them to get their diplomas. She looked loved and she was very happy. The whole class is invited to a graduation party right after the ceremony.....it is an all night party, in fact the kids have to stay until it is over if they go......the whole idea is to save the kids from going off in their cars and parties.....every year in the past some kids died in car accidents (in Oregon) coming home from a wild graduation party.....giving the kids a better option has become a priority for the parents of Seniors.
Our daughter went out for Sushi after the ceremony....we had fantastic food and great conversation.....very nice. She always makes us feel special.
