Pegasus Bridge

Bruv often brings me back something from his journeys - this is a menu from the cafe at Pegasus Bridge - a place he visited a few years ago - it was the first building in occupied France to be liberated on DDay 75 years ago ! !
On the night of 5th June Major Howard and his brave men flew from Tarrant Rushton(in Dorset) in their wooden Horsa gliders .
They crash landed and succeeded in securing the bridges and repelling German counter attacks .
