Mangroves

Pretty frugal day living out of a backpack. Woke up and had a free breakfast at the hostel, followed by a second breakfast (leftover dinner picked up from the mine mess).

Used the free gym pass that the hostel provides to have a good workout, avoiding exercises that I think bring on back pain a few days later.

Had what I think is The best meal of the trip so far, it was called Chilli Eggs, it was basically poached eggs on sourdough toast with home made chilli chutney, coleslaw and avocado (before you think it, I know. I'm such a millennial, this is clearly why I can't afford a house). Every aspect of that meal was gorgeous, and for the equivalent of 10 quid.

With everything today I was just taking my time, nice not to rush.

So now I have 5 hours to kill before my flight. I thought I'd walk to the airport it's only close. So it was a 2km walk along the promenade and a 3km walk through the mangroves (mostly on the airport road). Ended up getting there far too early but I was pretty satisfied with my day so treated myself to a milkshake.

Now on the plane heading to see Lorna, Mark, Ben and Alex in Brisbane for 5 days! Its only a 2-hour hop down the coast to the nearest city, flight should land about 9pm.
