The hills and mountain sides seem to be covered with a large number of waterfalls tumbling down and contributing to rushing burns like this at Crarae Gardens. During a brief respite in the weather we managed a walk along part of the Crinan canal before the heavens opened again. This (extra) shows one of the former lock keeper's cottages above a holding pound.
