Closed for filming

More by luck than judgement I snapped this of Elm Hill from the top deck of the bus, as it whizzed past. They have blocked every road, passage or alleyway that could conceivably take you within a gnats breath of filming. We have seem people in period dress going to and from St Andrews Hall - which seems to be a base for cast and crew. All adds to the excitement of a day in local government pensions.

Speaking of which, as fast as I complete a task, 2 are added. Then computer crashes again - 3 times today. I'm getting fed up. Backlogs are inevitable when you have 6 or more vacancies in the office, and tools not fit for purpose. I'm still questioning have I been doing this job too long now? Just 6 and a half more years to get through.

Had a drink at lunchtime with other team members and David who has worked hard to get another job, and will be leaving us on Friday. I am sure he is doing the right thing heading up to London, and taking a big step on the right path to a successful career. We are going out after work Friday with the rest of the office, to celebrate again.

Drizzly now, so will be a brief trip to the allotment tonight. Only Minnie the hen left, as Jon went yesterday and found Dotty dead. I need to see if it's red mite. That seems the most likely cause. It might already be too late for her, but I'll go as soon as I'm home.

Saw the last episode of Killing Eve last night. Still not desperate for the next series!
