Today's been an eventful work day. :)
I continued my work in the same place as yesterday, finishing my task of binding together plant support. When I was done, my boss asked me to relocate parts of two different kinds of plants (the one with the bee, and the one with water droplets) to another place in the flower bed. It wouldn't be difficult, she said, they are not fragile in that way so I needn't think of damaging roots or anything. I started with the droplet filled plant... easy, she said my boss... Nope, the plant was having none of the easy stuff at all! I hit something with my showel and it was so hard that I thought I'd hit a rock... I started digging around the plant 'piece' I was relocating. Digging deep, lifting, digging, lifting... until I only had the 'rock' left. Wasn't a rock... it was a massive root... Finally I took one of these tools used to lift up weed roots with and stuck it on the root. I then used a lot of force to cut trough... which I didn't need so I lost my balance and ended up in the plant. I tried to get up as elegantly as I could, while having a chuckle... Thing is that we had visitors from a pre-school group so the park I worked in was filled with children and pre-school teachers. While I was working I got the question 'What are you doing?' several times from curious kids. :D Thankfully no one asked me what I was doing in the plant... :D
When I was done with digging up the plant and making a mess by falling in to it, I dug a new hole and replanted it in it's new place.
During my time in the garden bed, I was approached by one of the teachers, who told me that a wooden horse had lost its head, it had broken while the children was playing on it. Thankfully no child was hurt. I promised to take the head with me to get it fixed. When I returned to the greenhouse I felt like the Godfather, with a horse head under my arm... Thankfully one made of wood, but anyway...
Then I went down to the gym to do some weight lifting exercises, and thought to myself that I had my fill of working out today! When I came home I noticed that I had strained a toe, probably when I fell down in the plant. I have a bruise and it's a little swollen. I put a bandaid around it with some supportive tape.
What a day! :D
Headache's still here...
