Back to the cold wax..

After about 4-5 weeks away from painting and concentrating on make pots, it felt really wonderful to be playing with cold wax and oil again.  An artist whose work i admire, said she starts her day off in the studio with 7-8  (or more) 'starts'....just throwing down marks and paint and then she decides later which one's she'll continue with...so i sort of did that today.  i'm trying out these small cradled panels, 6" x 6" and i really loved them.

Went for my first bike ride of the season....oh boy...am i out of shape! but it was so glorious to be back in the saddle!

The Open House weekend went really well....lots of folks came and visited and took home a treasure or 2!
