POPPIES
Because of the weatherforecast we drove in the morning to Beverungen for food shopping. The bridge over the river Weser is under construction and everybody from the garden town or the camping has to drive to the Forellenhof and from there down to Lauenförde, and crossing the Weser there.
On our way just before Lauenförde we saw some fields with poppies, and I said to Piet Hein that on our way back we should find a possibility to halt there. Not so easy, but we managed to stay for a minute as close to the ditch as possible. In that minute I took as many photos as I could.
We were glad to arrive home before the thunder started and the heavy rain. Suddenly the wind started to blow in an extraordinary way.
The trees swayed and swayed, but soon that stopped. The thunder came near but not above us.
The rose tree which comes as high as our balcony bend down in a terribly way, and we had to fetch it and bind it with ropes at the balustrade.
The rain was greeted with joy and the thunder stayed far enough away.
