Calm After Rain

More fun with the super wide lens, getting close to the main subject - more wild phlox - and showing its environment. After some heavy thunderstorms during the day, everything was still pretty wet.

I like how the vibrant hue of the flowers stands out against the dark grass which is getting quite tall now. The trees in the background are also dark being backlit against a still bright sky that had retained some colour.

It was a peaceful evening listening to the birds and enjoying the fresh atmosphere.
