You do the decor, I do the dishes

that is the way we roll in this house. We have been getting collectively excited for a few weeks now, the #1son completely oblivious to all that was in preparation. His time will come, I somewhat suspect that next year we will be more aware of what is happening.

No matter how much preparation, I still find myself wrapping something late in the day, that was me at 11:55pm, oh lordy. Maybe I'll have to take the whole of December off next year.

Lovely meal and a lovely end to the day.
