Rolling into the Platform

Today was an extra steaming day down at the railway. About 50 rail enthusiasts from around the country came for a visit. The locals put on a great display for them with both the steam train and railcar taking them up and down the track. They had the other engines out pulling wagons etc it really went well.
I was called into man the souvenir shop and sold quite a bit of stuff, books pens magnets etc.
It was different being down at the end shed rather than in the ticket office up at the station. We really have a great gang of volunteers they all work so hard and all the trains were polished up to the nines.
It is a great drawcard for our town so I don’t mind giving some hours here and there
