Bucket list

This is Kopi Luwak coffee. Reputed to be the most expensive in the world. It is recovered from the droppings of the Civet cat before being roasted. The effect of the digestive system of the Civet on the beans is what gives it it's special flavour.

It featured in the film "The Bucket List" where Jack Nicholson introduced Morgan Freeman to it as something you should try before you die.

Jane bought me a small bag for Christmas and at £250 a kilo it really was small! What you can see here is enough for a single cup and is worth about £3 - about the same as a regular coffee in Costa so it doesnt sound so bad when you look at it like that.

I have to say it is delicious. The best flavoured coffee I have tasted - and we drink quite a lot of coffee.

PS - despite what it says in the Wiki article, this is the real thing and is ethically produced
