Mt. Sinai Scaffolding

Here I'm walking up Madison Avenue on the East side of Manhattan to join Marylee at Mt. Sinai Hospital's emergency room.  She had taken a bad fall on an uneven sidewalk near our apartment, and needed the hospital to check on the consequences; she went in an ambulance with our close friend Jane (a retired emergency room director).  I won't go into the details, but the most telling injury was a minor broken bone just above her left wrist; it's painful but only needs to be wrapped in gauze. It could have been much worse. Late this afternoon I paid a visit to the Neue Galerie for a pair of exhibitions. The gallery specializes in Austrian and German art, and the shows focus on self-portraits from the Weimar period; very intriguing.
