Pride of Place

This is a detail of a fabulous collage work by a friend and local artist, Karen Stamper, that I look at every day. It has taken pride of place above our mantel in the living room for the past 15 years. 

Strangely, we met her and bought her work at an Open Studio visit many years ago, and then, it turned out by pure chance that she was teaching art at our local secondary school!

She's also the one who supported me in getting the clay club started.
