Waterperry Gardens
Visited these lovely gardens today made famous by Beatrix Havergal who established her School of Horticulture for Ladies here from 1932 - 1971. The obelisk is designed and carved by Simon Buchanan and incorporates an ancient Sanskrit prayer which reads’ All be happy. All be without disease. All creatures have well being and none should be in misery of any sort’. It also expresses that a desire for peace should be everywhere. The statue of the young girl is in the Silent Space garden.
