Boxing Day

It was blowing a gale last night (quite literally) and one of the church wardens knocked on the door to say a pine tree had fallen down in the glebe. After a delicious lunch of Sophie's homemade turkey pie , we went down to see as well as collect pine cones for the fire.

It was an old huge pine that had been blown over but we had great fun. Perfect timing because just as we left to come home it started raining and now it is blowing another gale. Time to light the fire and toast some marshmellows I think.
