Searching for slugs?

This small pond houses three frogs, a newt and a goldfish. I have only ever seen the frogs poke their head out or hide down the back. This morning I was sorting the washing out and spotted him sitting on the edge in the rain. Maybe it was getting too crowded, but hopefully he is looking for the slugs and snails that are eating our Hostas. They have been threatened with eviction if they don’t up their game!
