coffee, cake and Mr Sheen

A good long bike ride this morning.  We try a new route - with a long steep hill into a fierce headwind.  Either one of these would be hard enough - headwind or long steep hill - but both?  Thank goodness for my motor.

We stop at the cafe for coffee and cake.  When Anniemay checks her Map-my-Ride we discover that this route has a name; 4-Hills Sprint, Gayhurst to Haversham. (see extra).

Last night we watched the first episode of Good Omens on TV.  I’ve read the book.  Anniemay hasn’t.

AM; “who was the other one?”

Me; “Micheal Sheen”

AM; “who?”

Me; “you know - Tony Blair, Brian Clough.  He’s a famous actor.”

AM; “is he related to Martin Sheen?”

Me; “no - Martin Sheen is American.  Micheal Sheen is Welsh.”

AM; “Does Martin Sheen ride motor bikes?”

Me; “no - that's Barry Sheen.”

AM; “Mr Sheen?  Ha ha ha ha ha ….”

Me; (groan) “That’s furniture.”

AM;  “Let’s polish off the cake ……” (tears are now running down her cheeks).
