Wild water

It was a blustery morning in Newcastle this morning! We set off in drizzle, not actually expecting to get a walk on the front. It had dried up by the time we arrived in Newcastle, so we thought we'd risk a walk, despite the big black clouds. We were lucky - by the time we had finished coffee the sun was shining, although it was blustery it really wasn't cold. The waves were good though - bumping off the wall and colliding with the next waves coming in - it made for a bit of drama :-)
We were able to sit outside in the garden for lunch, so most definitely a better day than we expected when we opened the curtains this morning!
