Boys' Night Out
Helen and Omar brought croissants over for breakfast then dropped me at the station and I visited my friend, Jenny, for lunch. We started nursing on the same day and she is the only one I am in contact with 50 years later.
By the time I had got the train back to the mountains it was too late to cook dinner so we went to the Chinese in Katoomba.
Most of the cafe was taken up by this group of 22 from an unfashionable demographic.
They probably weren't quite as rowdy as they would have been 50 years ago but seemed to be having a good time.
