Evening all,

"How now Brown cow "is all to do with the placement of the tongue in the roof of the mouth to elongate or accentuate the dipthongs to produce rounded vowel sounds, or something like that if i remember from my time as an Edwardian English master in the late 1920s,

this brown (and white) cow is cleaning its calf, and you can almost hear the poor little tike screaming " eurgh mum, gerroff, all me mates are watching."

Takes me back to the spit on the hanky days of maternal cleansing.
