One way to earn a mulled wine

Christmas Day swim at Sandford Lido. Its a 25m width, the water was 7 degrees C. I wasn't alone in my madness, there were about 300 swimmers.

About halfway across I discovered that very cold water makes it very hard to breathe, it took about 2 hours for me to get the feeling back in my toes.
