What's a good plan for a wet wet day? Go and get even wetter (amazingly my new Sportiva boots actually kept my feet dry, everything else was soaked though). Great fun had helping FWG develop her scrambling skills.
As the fun petered out in the beck (there's a shot showing how FWG reached her precarious perch in extras) we headed up the rocky spur east towards Tarn Crag. We then contoured round to Tarn Crag's SE ridge and took things up a grade.
It's always an added bonus when a route finishes at the summit, we arrived just in time for the rain to stop and the first view of the day.
