A Close Look

I know most people in the UK are heartily fed up with rain - but here in south-east Queensland every shower is welcomed as drought conditions still threaten. Christmas Day was hot and sunny but during the night the heavens opened and we had several hours of determined rain.

When I got up and wandered around the garden, the trees and shrubs were almost sighing with relief.

The raindrops on this leaf caught my eye - they are like tiny magnifying glasses.
