Another almost 40C day and more to come....nooooooooo!

Spent a very gentle day after getting out earlier for our walk and garden water. With the aircon going and fans whirring, a good excuse to watch a couple of dvds from the pile chosen for just such an occasion.

Today was 'Luc Besson's 'The Lady', about Aung San Suu Kyi and her return to Burma and the sacrifices made by the Burmese people and her family and the peaceful quest for democracy. Inspiring, graceful,moving and brutal and beautifully portrayed by Michelle Yeoh.
Am a great fan of hers and this role a far cry from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon...and being a Bond girl!

The other , London Boulevard a gangster thriller with Colin Farrell and Keira Kneightley and a cast of the usual suspects in such a London crime bosses movie.

Looks like there will be more lolling on the couch under the fan tomorrow...and the next day with a forecast for a run of days of 40C and then a 'cool change' to the mid 30s!
