Christmoustaches

Merry Christmas to all those who are on Santa's team, and happy holidays to everyone else! Whichever excuse for spreading a bit more love than usual around and eating too much you believe in, I hope you and your family had a lovely day today.

We had a lovely Christmas Day . Santa was too good to all of us. I wonder if he rents his sleigh out in the off season, as I will certainly need a miracle to get all the lovely light gifts we got home to Japan.

We had a delicious dinner of rabelaisian proportions. Once again my sister and I proved that organizing large international projects is a piece of cake for both of us in comparison to getting a jointly planned hot dinner on the table in a timely fashion, but as always, it all came together in the end for a lovely meal in my sis's amazing new house.

Visits from dear friends in the morning, and the rest of the rellies after dinner, complete with quiz which absolutely no-one (everyone) took too seriously at all, meant I saw most of the important people too, which is the point after all.

We missed the other half of our family in Hiroshima, but the Internet is a wonderful thing, so even Daddy and doggie were there in spirit.

My absolute favourite part of the day was when my mum put on her big bushy blonde fake moustache, but as she has said, and I quote, " stop putting pictures of me on the bloody internet without my permission. I'm not needing everyone knowing my business ", I shall go with the second best moustache of the day, and thank my sister for her hospitality.
