Wellbeing
How can anyone think that completing a wellbeing survey has any direct connection with enjoying your work more? It’s even a stretch to imagine an indirect connection. And having answered the questionnaire, I doubt that it could usefully contribute to any decision making process at all.
After work, I meet Lucy and Tara at GBK. Lucy is deep in the throes of coping with Martin’s death. Today’s challenge has been Virgin Media who, for forty minutes, insisted that it was impossible to change the name on their account. While on hold, again, the Twitterverse suggested she ask to be transferred to the bereavement department - who sorted the account immediately.
Tara is a Canadian friend of the family who had been walking the trail to Santiago de Compostela when she heard of Martin’s death. She came to support Lucy straight away - and has stayed since, despite being allergic to their cats.
