Sempervivum arachnoideum

I’m told that ‘noides’ is used to suggest ‘similarity to ‘. ‘Arach’ is to do with spiders so the silk like hairs covering the rosettes of this houseleek suggest spiders webs. I love it anyway! It’s a great addition to the new rockery.
