Underlay day (and new carpet day!)

A night shift to begin the day.

Home for breakfast and just in time for the carpet fitters who arrived early! They worked very efficiently and by early afternoon we have a new smart stair and study carpet with which we are very pleased. We are also glad to have used a carpet store on our local high street rather than one of the larger outlets on the retail parks whose pressured selling techniques failed to impress.
