Hypericum

We found this growing in the hedgerows this afternoon on our walk around the village. And if you look closely you can see it has cuckoo spit on it. I think there is a survey going on to see where it is, as it is feared that the grub is attacking vines in Italy, and could move around Europe very easily.
As a youngster we used to call the grub in this cuckoo spit a frog hopper - anyone else call it that?
