Getting into the swing of things

Mel's birthday, and the weather gods decided to stop playing ball. However a morning spent popping to Ullapool to buy some stuff (including a fantastic piece of art, which included a lovely chat with the artist at the gallery on a range of subjects from trekking in Nepal (the subject of the painting) to the positivity of bees).

But for the afternoon the heavens opened, the boat trip we'd booked was cancelled, and we ended up trudging through a wood near Lochinver. That said, it was a really interesting path, so despite sogginess there was fun to be had.
