Do they know it's Christmas?
Nope!
We spent the day feeling un-Christmassey in the office working on a funding proposal. There are no signs of Christmas around here (bar the odd Xmas tree in a hotel lobby) so today felt more or less like any other, not that we have really reach any kind of normality here yet!
We went food shopping in the evening in our favourite supermarket which caters to us Westerners' desire for plastic wrapped fat and sugar, the sight of mountains of biscuits and chocolates made it feel a little Christmassey. We bought our fair share and all the veg for our Xmas lunch tomorrow, as well as a "roasting" tin for the chicken.
At home the Mrs started making a cake and ice cream while I finished off the decorations which made the kitchen look a bit more festive, then we put the presents under the "tree" we had made. Our Tibetan family were suitably impressed and almost excited...
Until we started watching "It's a Wonderful Life" when they all fell asleep :-)
