Aquilegia Swan White.

When we were visiting Pentland plants Clickychick bought some Aquilegia for her woodland garden colour scheme.  Having had a quiet day I settled for a shot of the white.  The label says "Aquilegia Swan White".  I wasn't sure if the type of flower is known as Swan and this is the white variant.  Alternatively it may just be bad labelling and it is actually called white swan.  A little googling shows they Swan is a series of Aquilegia coming in a number of colours.

What is interesting, to me at least is this variant "hold its head up" in a way Aquilegia of my youth never did.  The blooms are also 2 to 3 times the size of those plants I knew as Columbine when a child.
