Girls and ponies

This morning I went down to Beaulieu Road to the New Forest pony sales.  I have put a couple in Extras, one to show you what the sales ring looks like and another of a nervous pony whinnying to its friends outside.

Coming away from the very crowded ring after an hour or so I wandered round the pens where the ponies wait their turn to be sold.  This girl was saying goodbye to her mum's friend's pony, lying on its back with her arms round its neck  It was her mum who encouraged me to take pictures as the girl did acrobatics and the pony stood patiently letting her.  I am sending mum some pictures later.  It was a very fun day!
