Brighter!

Rain made Manchester hard to love last night and this morning, but it brightened through the day and was lovely as I wandered to the station from the coffee shop where I've had a half-hour chat with my new PhD student. He finished his exams yesterday, and was confident that he'll get the results required to be accepted for a place and funding with me.

Vimto was first produced in this area of Manchester in 1908, and there is this fun monument to the event.
