Peace

Warm early morning sun. No photographs yesterday with no power after the storm on Tuesday evening. It was off for about 24 hours which was little inconvenience compared with the many who have lost homes and businesses in the tornado that hit about 6 o'clock on the 28th. Fortunately it stayed south of town. About 60 homes were damaged, many will have to be rebuilt. I think the strongest tornado in Douglas County on  record. An F4, F5 being the strongest on this scale. It was a mile wide and had a track of about 30 miles. It touched down a quarter of a mile south of us so we have been very lucky not to have had more than tree damage.
There are a couple of shots showing how these winds selectively lifted the ridge shingles on the barn and stripped trees of their leaves.
