Treize Desserts

Tonight we had our Christmas meal at a favourite restaurant in Nice - L'Univers.

It was a Christmas tasting menu so we have battled our way through fois gras, lobster, turbot, hare, cheese, dessert and finally the traditional French 13 desserts. Oh, and of course champagne, water and wine.

Each one of the 13 desserts is suppose to represent Jesus and his 12 apostles.

Don't quite get it given Jesus was a baby at Christmas but some of the 13 desserts are very delicious.
