Lorikeets Again

This morning we dropped MrsCyclops at the station, then Cyclops and CyclopsJnr dropped the car at the garage to get some tyres changed and went to the Zoo on the bus (dropping in at Corstorphine Doocot on the way).

We managed to see the Koalas today after a few times when they have been closed.  We enjoyed some tiny monkeys, flamingos, meerkats and sun bears too.  The lorikeets were on great form today and so were the highlight. They landed on Cyclops' shoulder and tried to nibble his ear, and when CyclopsJnr got some nectar to feed them one came and sat on his arm for quite a while to eat.  He was delighted.

After lunch we took the bikes for a ride round Threipmuir and Harlaw.  CyclopsJnr did great again, and enjoyed the adventures of some more challenging tracks with big rocks and tree roots to avoid.  On the way back we saw a small deer (we'd already seen lots of squirrels!), and then met a friendly dog called Fergus in the car park.  CyclopsJnr threw his ball for him while I loaded up the bikes.

I think he's tired now...
