Fallen Not Forgotten

I blipped this view back when it was snow covered and was struck by how different the fallen tree looks now in the spring.

Aside from obviously being dominated by green and dense vegetation obscuring the further reaches, the stream is not all that evident.

I liked that the foreground diagonal branch is echoed by one in the rear and the boughs slant in the opposite direction, combining to make a Z on its side. Again I have side lighting streaking through catching leaves here and there.

I'm getting a lot of glare on the leaves which presents problems balancing exposure in post. I wonder whether a polarizer would help - have to try!
