Trickle
The mighty river Clyde is reduced to a trickle to power the Bonnington turbines.
The Lanark power station was the first hydro scheme in the UK and designed to use ‘run of the river’ water supply thus avoiding the need for a massive and destructive dam in an area of great natural beauty and ensuring there is always water going down the river.
The clarity of the air after rain brings out the true colours and gives the photo added sharpness.
