Menchi's is a good go-to place for a treat. There's usually a child or two to look at, and my mom loves the sweet treat. On our walk afterward we had this conversation:
Mom: How many children do you have again?
Me: Just the one. A 20-year-old son, Wilson.
Mom: So they must get along.
Me: Well, there's just one.
Mom, after a pause: So they must get along.
Me, alert now to the right answer: Yes, they get along very well.
Mom: That's good.
