Apologies for posting even fewer Blips than usual at the moment. I’m still busy getting to grips with my new job and have been finding it difficult to grab many photo opportunities...

Today, I spent the morning at a 5-a-Side football tournament organised by Liverpool Homeless Football Club, where teams were fielded by a number of local hostels and support organisations. This was part of an ongoing programme of tournaments, each with a different theme (e.g. mental health, suicide, domestic abuse) and today’s theme was addiction.

The tournament was launched by Scouse ‘X Factor’ singing sensation, Anthony Russell (see Extra), who has had some well-publicised addiction issues and was on hand, not only to play for one of the teams but to give a peer-to-peer pep talk to the other players, which was very well received.
