Just a robin

Earlier today I spotted a fledgling robin sitting on our fence but couldn't get a decent shot of it.  I was keeping my eyes open for another opportunity but so far haven't seen it again.  Anyway, this parent bird came and posed quite nicely this afternoon on our gatepost so he/she has become my blip for today.

In extras are Poppy the black lab, and Dylan the little spaniel, our vicar's dogs.  We are looking after them until Thursday while the vicar and his wife sadly move to a new parish.  Moving house is stressful for humans, let alone dogs, so we thought it would be nice for them to come here, away from all the packing boxes etc. and we'll take them up to Bromsgrove to their new home on Thursday.  We've looked after them before - they are very sweet and amenable!
