A day of bits and pieces.
U3A this morning, trip to Aldi (ssshh - don’t tell the neighbours!) a bit more woodwork and then bottling the rhubarb gin. After draining off the rhubarb I put it in the salad spinner to extract the last of the juice. Surprisingly effective it was too.
A litre of gin, 400g caster sugar and 400g rhubarb made about 1.5 litres of rhubarb gin. The half litre is in a plastic bottle so will need drinking fairly soon. The gin in the posh bottle on the right should keep longer but I don’t think it will!
